Theme or not to Theme

I have been slowly working on Jessalynn's 1st birthday party.  I finished the guest list and I have worked on the food list.  The problem is the theme.  I would really love to do a theme for her but she wont remember it.  It is really just for the memories and pictures (aka what I want).  I have come up with a few cute ideas.

  • ABC
  • St. Patty's (She was born on this day)
  • Snoopy (her nickname is Peanut and her room is decorated with Snoopy)
  • Candyland
I know St. Patty's would be easy because the decorations and everything I can get at a party store.  The rest of the themes I would have to make everything.  I will keep you all posted on what I do.

  1. Talea, you'll never believe me on this one, but Tim and I are hosting a Candyland party for our college group of friends in April, and I've been makin' all kinds of stuff for it. Great minds must think alike, eh?! If you wind up going with the same theme, you are completely welcome to use our stuff! :)

  2. That's a good question, especially since little ones won't remember, so is it worth it? I asked myself the same question when Lainey turned 1, but a theme made it a little more fun for me to plan! We chose a ladybug theme since we call her Laineybug. Anyway, I'm glad I did b/c the whole look of the party turned out great and she will be able to see the pictures of it all when she is older. I say, if you have the time, it would be fun to go with a theme! And all of your ideas would be really cool:)
